When it comes to family portraits, the right location can make all the difference. Whether you’re looking for a picturesque park or a unique urban backdrop, Chiefland and surrounding cities offer a variety of stunning settings to suit any style. Here are my top five favorite locations for family photoshoots:

Family in a sunny field; man lifts baby, woman holds child's hands. Warm autumn colors, smiles, joyful atmosphere.

1. Trailhead of Fanning Springs

Nestled in the heart of Fanning Springs, this spot offers tall grass, greenery and beautiful walking trails. It’s perfect for families who love nature and want a timeless look for their portraits. The golden hour lighting here is simply magical!

A woman and man sit in a grassy park with two dogs. A small dog walks nearby. The woman smiles at the man. Trees in the background.

2. Train Depot of Trenton

This charming area is a hidden gem with open fields, colorful quilt murals, and a rustic wood frame building that provides beautiful and vintage background textures. It’s ideal for all types of families and of course is one of the pup friendly options located right in the heart of the Trenton!

Couple by a rocky waterfall, surrounded by greenery. Woman in brown dress gazes at man in white shirt. Red rail runs along rocks.

3. Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens

A serene botanical garden with open fields, tall trees, and unique pathways. This location provides a tranquil backdrop for family photos with older children, especially teens. A great, hidden getaway in Williston with plenty to explore after your session is completed. Also dog friendly.

A smiling baby runs toward two adults on a sunlit forest path. The background is blurred; the baby's outfit is colorful. Emotive and joyful scene.

4. Usher Pines

For those who are looking to stay close to home, Usher Pines is a versatile spot for creating memorable portraits. The tall pines capture the heart of what makes our rural areas of Levy county so unique. This location also offers lots of safe space to let littles run free without long walks to the photography spot.

A couple stands on a beach at sunset, holding hands and touching foreheads. The woman wears a pink dress, the man a white shirt. Calm sea in background.

5. Cedar Key Beach Park

If your family loves a beach vibe, this spot is unbeatable. Soft sand, gentle waves, and dreamy sunsets make it a favorite for playful and heartfelt moments.

When choosing your location, consider your own family’s personality and style. Each of these places has its own charm, and I’d love to help you find the perfect one for your next session. Let’s capture memories that you’ll cherish forever!
